This book is aimed at helping beginners learn how to program using the Java programming language. It is based on my experience teaching coding for the last decade, and teaching Java in particular in the last five years. It contains a lot of example code, and simple explanations of the most common coding structures beginners are likely to encounter.
It is especially helpful for AP Computer Science A students as it focuses on the AP Computer Science A subset of the Java language. It is also hoped that other AP Computer Science A teachers will find it helpful as well. That said, it will also serve as a helpful overview of Java for anyone interested in coding.
