Plot Summary


The lives of numerous people over the course of 20 years in 19th century France, weaved together by the story of an ex-convict named Jean Valjean on the run from an obsessive police inspector, who pursues him for only a minor offense.

Encoded with a modified slow 2-Pass @ 8,000 kb/s, includes English subtitles and all extras from the Eureka Masters of Cinema release. This was originally screened in three parts over three consecutive weeks and both Pathe's and Eureka's releases keep those parts separate on multiple discs. However, some releases and screenings of the movie have edited all the parts together into a single 5 hour long movie. Since each part has its own introduction and credits I have chosen not to concatenate them together and instead leave them as separate files. There are, however, entries for this film in both TMDB as a movie and TVDB as a TV series so you can choose how you want to scrape this into your library; as a single film where all parts are represented by a single entry (TMDB) or a TV series where each part has its own entry (TVDB).
