A wandering peddler suddenly decides to separates from his group of travellers, his reasons are unknown and the dangers will be many.
Heremias - Book One - The Legend of the Lizard Princess (2006) by Lav Diaz in 480p (640 x 372), ripped from single-layer DVDs found online, pretty low quality but not sure any other source is available. The 5 DVDs have been concatenated into the full film in one file. Encoded to 10bit HEVC/x265 with stereo AAC audio @ 192kpbs, with embedded English .srt subtitles.
Note: The subtitles on the DVD were hardcoded, but placed such that they would extend over the frame into the letterbox, which would have prevented me from cropping. To correct this, I used VideOCR to extract the hardcoded subtitles to .srt, then used video-subtitle-remover to remove the hardcoded subtitles from the video, allowing a crop so the video can be in widescreen format. video-subtitle-remover is not perfect, but did a decent job of removing the subtitles without introducing too much weird AI artifacting. Any imperfections in the video will be limited to a small part of the lower third of the screen, and will be mostly covered by subtitles anyway. As the subtitles were OCR'd, there may be minor errors in them as well.
