Helium Streamer is a decent app for streaming music from your Helium library over the internet. I doubt you have a Helium installation at home with a large music collection, but let's assume you do, and you want to listen to it from anywhere, on any device, through a browser. Streamer is perfect for you. You can download Helium Streamer for free below; the registration key is included in the archive. Please note that .NET Framework 4+ is required.
Details:
The client works simply: after launching on the PC where Helium is installed, it automatically finds the music database and launches the web server. Then, open a browser on any device, enter the server address, and listen to music. The program automatically detects LAN and external IP addresses.
When you first log in to the web client, you must log in with the default password, then you can change your details in the settings. The web player interface is similar to Helium's.
The web client has standard functionality: you can open all tracks in the library and sort them by artist, genre, and tags. There's a built-in player with basic controls, volume control, and the ability to add tracks to playlists.
Plex is a universal media server that works with music, movies, and photos, but it's more than enough for pure music.
