Fans have been waiting for a 4K version of this masterpiece for years. I spent dozens of hours fine-tuning the Topaz parameters to find the perfect balance. To ensure zero quality loss, I generated a massive 1.34 TB ProRes 422 HQ master file before the final encode. Thanks to the latest 2026 updates, I was finally able to achieve the quality I was aiming for. Including rendering and audio mastering, this project took over 100 hours of work. I hope you enjoy this release as much as I enjoyed making it.

Pour garantir une absence totale de perte, j'ai généré un master intermédiaire massif de 1,34 To en ProRes 422 HQ avant l'encodage final. Grâce aux dernières mises à jour de 2026, j'ai enfin pu atteindre la qualité visée. En comptant les rendus et le mastering audio, ce projet représente plus de 100 heures de travail. This is a high-bitrate archive release designed to last. My goal was to get as close as possible to the visual fidelity of a 4K UHD Remux. I chose SDR (BT.709) to preserve the original 1983 color grading. With an average of 37.5 Mbps and peaks reaching 123 Mbps, this encode preserves the organic 35mm grain without any DNR artifacts. I made zero compromises regarding compression artifacts or grain preservation; for this release, quality comes first.
